about
I am a filmmaker and researcher working as a screenwriter, editor and film director. I am an author of over a dozen short fiction and documentary films, as well as essay films. I’ve graduated from the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow as well as from the Directing Department at the Lodz Film School where I wrote my master’s thesis titled 'Touching the Unspoken – on the connections between Jung’s concept of collective unconscious and Andrzej Żuławski’s film work’ (under the supervision of Dr. Kuba Mikurda).
In the past I’ve been working in a famous community radio station from Krakow — radiofonia. I used to be a columnist for the monthly magazine Pismo (author of the series Not All Is Lost – articles about initiatives restoring hope in times of crisis), and had also published in 'Przekrój’ and 'Polityka’ magazines. I’m a recipient of a Free University of Berlin scholarship and an City of Warsaw Scholarship for Artists.
Currently I am a PhD student at the Lodz Film School where I’m working on a project about visualizing memory and reminiscence narratives under
the supervision of Prof. Jolanta Dylewska.
