The Captain Mattered

A television theatre production based on a play by Szymon Jachimek. It tells the story of people who continue to perform their roles in a world that has already collapsed, even though nothing new has yet emerged to take its place. The Captain tries to preserve the old order while growing increasingly weary of it himself. His family remains trapped in inherited roles, despite their desire to break free. It is a story about nostalgia for a vanishing order — and about a romantic myth shattered against the reality of an ordinary, living body.
